Faige Rochel I had the good fortune to go to Israel in November to attend the wedding of a former French student who spent time at Sheffield University. Jean Carl Cohen called us in early October to let us know he was marrying Celia Rehby on the 5th November (Guy Fawkes is not that important in Israel!). As he had enjoyed many a Friday night at our home he wanted us to be at his wedding so off we went. The wedding held in Hadera north of Netanya was a very grand affair in the traditions of the French community though most of those attending live in Israel. It was also a bit of a reunion as quite a few of Jean Carl’s friends were Israeli students who had also studied in Sheffield so I knew most of them and we had a good time catching up on each other’s news.

We try and welcome all Jewish students to our home. It is nice when they remember and want us to join in their happy occasion. May Jean Carl and Celia have many happy years together with Mazel and Brocho.

  1. Hello Rabbi Golomb,
Several years ago you guided me with my questions of a spiritual nature - it was all solid advice.

I would like to follow-up in an email, but I find the email address I have no longer is working. Please contact me at my medical school email adress: jhaxton@atsu.edu
    Thanks,
    Jason
